Dj Blue first played and mixed records at garage and high school parties, before getting the chance to perform on dancefloors at clubs. His career as a Dj began in 1997, when he got invited to play two nights a week in a club named Benzina (Lisbon). This very positive experience gave him the chance to learn and perfect the technics and the talents for becoming an eclectic Dj, which enjoys taking risks with the audience before him but at the same time tries to guess what makes them moove. It was a year full of great parties/events, often ending up ..-hours that gave him the opportunity to meet and work with notorious national and international Djs. In 1998 his friend Dj Luís Leite, which held the residency on the mythic Alcântara-Mar (Lisbon), invited him to perform on a memorable night, and Dj Blue never stopped from since. Soon he was working as a freelancer, but in 2000 Dj Blue accepted the invitation to work with an agency, the “Beyond the Agency”. By that time he already got pleasure out of playing a bit of (almost) everything, making his sets range from house to breakbeat, from dub to electro, always to achieve what he likes to call the “happy floor”. Then on 2002 he chose to be responsible again for his own bookings, and one year latter Dj Blue participated on two great events: Lisboa Parade and the closing night of the mythic Locomia Club (Algarve). In that same year he began to produce, remixing and editing some themes. 2006 is the starting year of originals, having produced the theme “Beginner”. His Dj schedule has remained busy, playing regularly in clubs and events with his characteristic style, full of groove and warm rithyms.Enjoy with my sounds...Dj Blue
