The Band was founded back in 1999 under the name "Slaves Of Cruelty" in Herne, Germany. After several line-up changes the band decided to change the Name into "Oneiros".
Oneiros plays rather untypical DarkMetal with influences from BlackMetal, Gothic and some little pieces of DeathMetal, but always melodic.
