To keep it short and simple: Bicyclist, web- and software-developer currently working as graphic designer, who's interested in movies, music, photography, art, science, nature and mountains.
To those interested in me for freelance projects: I'm not able to take on as much work as before, but feel free to contact me with your project scope, details and deadlines, and I will try to make it work. I can help you with your print and publishing needs, translations (German/English and vice versa), as well as web and software development projects at a low rate. I'm especially interested in software projects as my current job utilize what I once studied for. I would hate to lose all my skills over the years.
And to those who haven't met me yet...here are some very random and uninteresting blurbs for you:)

...on life
Child of the 70s, spent most of my life in Mönchengladbach in Germany (near Düsseldorf, Cologne and the Dutch border).
Capricorn. Love the winter season. Too bad there isn't much of winter anymore.
Heinz Edelmann (best known for Yellow Submarine) was probably one of the strongest influences in my childhood. He created the look and feel for schoolbooks, brochues, illustrations, television trailers, and so much more beyond the movie. I wonder if his old everyday life kind of work was published.
Enjoy playing chess and table tennis. Never played in clubs (except chess in highschool until I lost in the state competition) but would love to play again sometime.
Moved to Baltimore in 2004.
One of my favorite artists is Andy Goldsworthy.
Enjoy taking pictures...I have a special fascination with faces. Unfortunately I'm never brave enough to approach interesting strangers to take a portrait.
Want to continue studies one day. Would love to get involved in the area of geography, math and physics with a focus on signal/image processing & visualization.
League of American Bicyclists member
Always looking for new biking routes in the Baltimore area, riding opportunities, and nice people to ride with.

...on cinema
Too much to fit on this page.
Ingmar Bergman is my favorite director and filmmaker. His death was a true loss to the world of cinema.
Also love Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch's work.
Kooyanisqatsi, Baraka, Ashes and Snow.
Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 film 'Cтaлкep' left a lasting impression on me when I was a child. He is probably responsible for how some of my film tastes developed over the years.
Friend and supporter of the Maryland Film Festival, since 2004.
Films should always be presented with original sound and subtitles...I really don't like the dubbing-culture in Germany and other countries.
I like films and stories that manage to touch or move me and make me think. It doesn't really matter to me whether it's a highbrow art-movie or a mainstream production, what genre it is, who made it and where it came from.
Hm..that's all for now... check my movie list on the left, it pretty much covers it all :)

...on music
Used to be a 4AD subscriber a few years ago and collected everything this label released. I was also a big fan of Vaughan Oliver/v23, 4AD's graphic designer at that time.
Scott Walker is one of the most interesting and fascinating musicians I have discovered not too long ago. I love his albums Scott 3 and Scott 4 as much as his more recent and more "difficult" work on The Drift.
Have been a David Sylvian fan and collecting his music since early 90s. My favorite albums are included in his Weatherbox, his work with Holger Czukay, Approaching Silence/Ember Glance and Blemish.
"Geheimnisvoll aber nicht Geheimniskrämerei"
Blemish is a true masterpiece. I'm still stunned remembering the 2003 live performance I have witnessed in Cologne from the first row center.
Brendan Perry is one of my favorite musicians even after all those years and the reunion-tour. Too bad he only released one solo-album after Dead Can Dance disbanded. I hear a new album is going to be released soon.
"The music was new black polished chrome and came over the summer like liquid night."
Jim Morrison...Tim Buckley...
Love Boards of Canada, too.
I have a last.fm profile , too. But I haven't listened to a lot of music lately.
Enjoying my new record player. Long live the vinyl record!
Some of my all-time top favorite albums are Wolfgang Voigt releases as "Gas"... Zauberberg and Königsforst.
There is so much music across all genres I listened to and loved, much more than I could list in my box on the left. One day I will add a little mixtape player to this page.
