I try to write variety so my songs don't all "sound the same."
I challenge myself to paint a vivid picture when I write lyrics and will cut away until the song is said in as few words as possible.I play shows with some amazing players in "The Raven Mountain Syndicate"" Loosely affiliated Syndicate members" are Ed Keith, a veteran Nashville musician and Singer/Songwriter playing anything with strings, 6 and 12 string guitars, bass, mandolin, banjo or anything else he carries up on stage, and Steve Whitworth, a self taught veteran guitar player, Singer/Songwriter and probably best known around town as the axe man for Atlanta's "Absolute Jack." Bring a friend, come to a show and "Get Syndicated." And come up and say hello...we want to meet you.Thanks to John Carozza, Tim Huffman, Scott Meeder, Jeremy Moyers, Mark Swilley, Danny Ray Cole, and my son David Dollar with his first session work on bass guitar(way to go David)!On a personal note: My interests are great music, amazing lyrics, anything outdoors, laughing, people watching, Playing in the creek (still), riding horses, riding 4 wheelers, driving tractors, riding motorcycles, lightning absolutely fascinates me, campfires, smell of lighter wood, "lighterd" as they say in Bainbridge, I love Bainbridge Ga., the wind blowin through pine trees, the beach, sandcastles, real castles, the sound of the ocean, sleepin under the stars, hummingbirds, huntin' lying about fishing, snow, waiting for stars to fall, really old cemetery's, singing to someone really listening to the words of my songs, kids, cats, bird dawgs, swamps at night, north Georgia mountains, sourwood honey, Georgia marshes, spanish moss, boiled peanuts, vegetable gardens, jasmine, the smell of honeysuckle in the summer, butterflies, fall, gardenias, trains, toy trains, dancers. frisbees, the golden hour, steam on a highway after it rains, stained glass, songwriters, Tinkerbell, Scottland, random acts of kindness, farms, farmers, I love the rain, I love wolves. I see God in everything wonderful. I love Nature, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, small towns, Europe is AMAZING, the Sylvester Ga. Dairy Queen, I forget things, I still collect rocks. I forget things..Most of all...Christmas.
