About Me

"To know ourselves as this free, creative energy is to know ourselves in this world." - Bruno Barnhart
I'll go ahead and get a few specifics out of the way, just a few things I've been asked several times lately. I've owned a guitar since I was 9, I've been playing seriously since I was 14. I don't get to play as much as I'd like (which would consist of about 12 hours a day). I rarely get more than 2 hours a day in anymore because of schoolwork. I'm a sophomore Computer Engineering major at Texas A&M, which means I have little time to spend on things other than physics homework and food. Music is my passion and and outlet I don't get from anything else in life. It was sparked from adolescence, I suppose. But there have been too many influences that formed my love for music to pin it down simply to that. Maynard from Tool has been the biggest influence and a path into the world of creative thinking. Apart from that he's been the guy I've sang with in the car for about 6 years now. Zakk Wylde's southern badass style, vocals, and above all his unique guitar style is where I've been getting a ton of influence these days. Bands like RA, Silverchair, Pink Floyd... all had a unique sound that I don't try to emulate... simply learn from. I mean... How can you do better than the ones who invented it? Finding my own sounds is really what I'm doing at this point. I'm always looking for people to play with, expand musical horizons, and write kick ass music. Thanks for listening, keep coming back for my new shit... feedback is always good.
