About Me

Whether it be a hard hitting down south banger, or a melodic roots rock reggae rhythm, the diverse production styles of Orin "Octane" Wilson continue to peak interst in the music world.
Octane was the third of 5 siblings born in the UK and moved to Trinidad & Tobago with his Father when he was only 1 year old. It was there that he discovered his love for music. While his peers were aspiring to be policemen, doctors, and engineers, all Octane could think about was being a music producer. His idols where the great hip-hop and Reggae producers of the time like Eric B, Dr. Dre, Eric Sermon, Ali Shaheed Mahomed, RZA, Steely & Clevie, and Sly & Robbie just to name a few.
Octane got his first opportunity to produce music 7 years after he moved to Miami, Florida in 2000. He purchased his first home studio and began experimenting with midi sound, which was a new form of digital production back then. During that period he worked with artistes such as Three Suns, Trini Jacobs, Roger George and many more. Octane seldom used samples in his music because he could not afford an mpc when he first started. This helped in the long run becuase it forced him to learn to play the keyboard and to this day, no matter the genre, he rarely uses samples. Today Octane not only produces, but writes and records his own songs. For info on beats, recording, or bookings please call 404-840-4343 or send us a message on myspace. One Love.
