BIO:
Codam discovers electronic music for the first time in 1995 during a festival in Paris. Feeling the vibe of the DJ behind his decks and of the crowd dancing and screaming, he has no other solution than to be part of this hedonist movement.
Mixing strictly techno at the beginning, going to places such as Rex Club (Paris), Codam opens up his musical panel to the diversity of electronic music while working in F Communications in 1997 (french electronic music label created by Laurent Ganier) and begins mixing in parties. His main influences remains from this period : artists like Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Green Velvet, Scan-X and labels such as F Communications, Underground Resistance et Soma.
From 1998 to 2001, he participates to the organization of the « Visions » techno festival (Paris), which has mainly brought to France Detroit artists like Jay Denham, Robert Hood, Rolando, Dijital, Laurence Burden, Octave One, RNG, Dj Bone, DJ T-1000, as well as European ones like Deetron, Heiko Laux et Colin Dale, and of course French ones like Technasia, The Hacker, Oxia, Antony, Chaotik Ramses, Tonio, Scan X and Manu le Malin.
At this time, Codam dives into live music production with several projects : "Elektron" (minimal, electro and techno), "CodeBreakers" (minimal techno and techno) with two mates, and also "Iboga", an electro-tribal band whose first album « Antiphaze » has be released in 2007. The logic consequence of being part of all these projects is to release his first track as "Codam" on Sabotage Crew Records in 2007.
Since then, Codam gigs have multiplied in venues such as bars and clubs in France, Spain and Germany, being also part of public events such as Lesbian & Gay Pride, Techno Parade (Paris - France), Sabotage Euskadi Tour (San Sebastian & Oiartzun - Spain). He has been booked with artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Fumiya Tanaka, Ken ishi, Technasia … He is also involved in party organisation (Antislip party) and has a residency at Batofar (Paris).
Inspired by the techno of Detroit, by the feeling of house and by the electronic groove of the German minimal electro, Codam mixes these differents musics to deliver each time a new and explosive set to his auditors.
Remember : Codam is always cooking something.
