In late 2005 the former members of Jellybone were looking for a new front man. Someone to take them to the next level in Atlanta. They held auditions, well one audition because the first person to come out was a keeper. And it wasn't a guy, it was a woman, thus the name Curve.
Then in the last of 2007 and the show in Chicago for the National Finals of the Emergenza Festival Curve disbanded. Patty and Ryan have reformed the band with the addition of a new ryhtym section, which is sure to only improve on what was already a great sound!
Our influences are endless from one end of the spectrum to the next. Patty, on vocals, screams then soothes with a sexiness unmatched, Ryan slings the riffs on guitar, Steve grooves on bass and Stevie on drums slams the rhythmic insanity.
The songs groove with an indie pop feel, but always rock you. Take it all, throw it in a pot, refine and serve and you get Curve.
Curve won the Atlanta/Regional Finals in the Emergenza Festival Battle of the Bands. They went on to the National Finals in Chicago and came in 5th. They'll soon be working with a producer in Chicago who's worked with Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Skillet and Elvis Costello.
