I really like documentaries, any of the Michael Palin travel docs. I hate daytime television - getting hooked to Phil and Fern is DANGEROUS, DANGEROUS I say. Even if they do have good advice on how to get rid of piles or how to jazz up your garden shed with disco lights.
The best book in the world is Captain Corelli's Mandolin - you'll laugh, you'll be amazed, you'll tear you're hair out, you'll smile then you'll be a blubbering mess for the rest of eternity. p.s. Dont be fooled by the film - it's crap.
