Wazari sound is: Jogging Joe, Griff and Sotu the Traveller. Jogging Joe is a selecta and mc and owns a hi end fashion shop, Number Nine . Griff is a specialist in lovers tunes, and works in a recordshop (Funky Harlem). They hooked up with hiphop dj Elected , who introduced them in the music scene in 2004. Since then they played in more or less known venues in Holland, like Patronaat, Club Stalker, Pitcher (Haarlem), Bitterzoet, Melkweg, 11, Hotel Arena, Stubnitz, Flexbar (Amsterdam), Aloha and Timboektoe (Wijk aan Zee) and LVC (Leiden). In 2007, Sotu the Traveller ( Appletree Records ) joined the team. He is a talented hiphop-producer and musician, but also dancehall ruler!!!
Since late 2008, they have their own bi-monthly night at Club Stalker (Haarlem), called 'One Drop' . Download the mixtapes to get an idea of what to expect...
