All it takes is all you've got!

About Me

I am a registered nurse at a large NC Emergency Department and work PRN at a small VA ED. I am fortunate to work with some of the finest nurses that you will ever get a chance to meet.I am happily married to Mary Ayers. She is a lab tech and, like me, works the night shift. Some people call her my better half, and most of the time they are probably right. She's the one who manages to keep up with all of the comings and goings of our family. She's a great friend who get's along great with my family, which is a really good thing for me.I have some fantastic kids. Liz is a junior at UVa, consistently makes the Dean's List and is my TV partner. We share a fondness for Sci-Fi, and occasionally get to watch a show together. She makes me very proud!Bethany is is my twenty year old daughter who was taken from me as a little girl. Long story, but we recently have reconnected and it has been great getting to know her and having her in my life. She's wanting to go into childhood development, and I hope it works out well for her.Jessica is my next oldest. She too was taken at away as a baby. We haven't gotten the chance to reconnect that Bethany and I have had, but hopefully someday. She's eighteen and lives with her Mom's family.Skye is my little sweetheart. She just turned two, and yes she has me wrapped around those little fingers. She's my play buddy. We have a good time together. part of me loves to watch her grow and learn, and she does so very quickly. The other part wants to keep her just like she is forever. She can be o sweet. She can also be quite the drama queen, which can be rather entertaining.Joshua is my littlest. He is six months old and is as laid back as Skye is intense. He the happiest baby, and he is on the verge of starting to crawl. He'll be hard to keep up with. He is the first boy after years of girls, so I guess I'll have some learning to do.Mary and I are both EMS providers. I am a Paramedic and Mary is a Virginia Intermediate. We teach some EMS classes and are members of some volunteer rescue squads.I feel like that saying, "of all men, I am most fortunate". I have a wonderful family, a job that I enjoy and I live in Patrick County, a quiet pictorial area. It's great!!! fantasy layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments

Happy Birthday, Bethany

Happy 19th birthday.  I remember when you took your first breath.  Although it's been a long time, always know that you are loved and thought of so often.  You are missed.
