Compassion as a Lifestyle

About Me

I'm Jo. I will not settle for anything less than God's best in every facet of my life. I love the ocean. I love people. I'm addicted to stories. New Orleans and Africa have found an overwhelmingly special place in my heart, life, and mind, and they have left me changed. I want to go back to Africa sometime soon, and visit the people who showed me what love really looked like. I love learning. I love adventure. I'm spontaneous. I love to laugh. and I've learned that there are some things that only sorrow can bring... i try to rejoice in everything.i'm interested in the things that Jesus is interested in.advice i give myself everyday: "stop talking about changing the world... get out there and do something."
"Between the drama of birth, and the tragedy of death, blooms the rose of life.".. Jason, Julie, and I. I LOVE being the youngest and having siblings! Jason and I at his high school graduation. Time passes so fast, it's unbelievable. David Palmer's foot/shoe as the head, Tiff's glasses as the eyes, and my hands as the ears. (Way too much time on our hands at camp!)

My Interests

God (my creator), Jesus (My savior) , The ocean, acting, writing, reading, cooking, swimming, playing softball, snow blading, singing, playing piano, playing flute, listening to music, hanging out at church events, decorating, kneeboarding, tubing, boogy boarding, body boarding, hanging with my brother and doing fun stuff with him, watching tv, watching movies, playing cards, and playing board games. Anything else active or competitive, or adventurous. I like to try new things, and i have a sense of adventure. I love to travel, and I love history and different cultures! And most exciting of all: changing the world. One life at a time.

I'd like to meet:

people with stories that need to be told. and i hope to meet Immaculate, Gloria, Mwabi, and Raymond all again someday. They've each convicted me, shown me love, and spoken into my life immensely, and I hope I can travel back and see them again.

I like almost all music. It all depends on my mood. various types. faves would be stuff like: David Crowder Band, Jars of Clay, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Frank Sinatra, Juanes, and music from africa.
