About Me

I was born December 4, in Milwaukee, WI. I was raised in Milwaukee but have also resided in West Memphis, Greenville, Oklahoma City, and Chicago, I am the third child of four sisters.I began rapping at the age of twelve. I started battle rapping at recess and after school amongst my peers. As my gift was noticed, I got persuaded to enter school and community center talent shows. My style of rap is considered southern but very unique. I rap about life experiences, based upon what I have been through or what I see others go through. My topics are sometimes political, religious, economical, and social, just dealing with my everyday social environment. I like appealing to the club scene, the streets, children, and everyone else that enjoys the beauty of music.I've had the name D-Smooth for some years. Since I've matured I've became Mista. However, St. Louis has become my home. I've been through too much to mention but to sum it all up, through it all I have managed to maintain my Freedom. Therefore I've became known as SmooTh Louis. Notice how the S the T and the L are high lighted! Fo Sho!In 1993 I was convicted of a felony. In spite of my incarceration, I noticed my song writing potential. I created a song catalog of one hundred and forty songs while incarcerated . Potosi Corr. Cntr. gave me the opportunity to gain experience in song recording, in which I produced my first 4-track recordings of sixty songs. I was gracefully paroled to St. Louis, MO. STL has became my home. I met my Super Producer XJN through Big Suede of whom I was introduced to by B.A.M. Since then XJN and myself have recorded fifty songs and my song catalog is at two hundred plus.My biggest venue was an opening act for D4L in Springfield MO., tickets sales were1,200 plus. Ive co-promoted a show with Fat Cat Production in St. Louis at Ground Zero in which I was the headliner. I performed at Big Suedes CD release party at The Evening Shade. Ive done shows in Rolla MO with 225 Less Stress Camp at All Stars, Sipping On Common Grounds, Pub Mobile, and Stingers. Ive also done lots of open mic nights in St Louis.I am a solo artist and unsigned. Im currently working on producing my own music tracks. I also have a R&B song catalog that is growing. I am willing to work and collaborate with anyone on projects that will strengthen my career.

Influences: I recieve the most motivation from my true life experiences. Credit goes to those that have raised me at home and in the streets. I have many of role models and mentors. I give much respect to all of the music industry pioneers that have come before me and to those that may come after me that will make great contributions. Thanks to XJN, the super producer, for being my biggest help! I also have been influenced by every sucka that have tried to be a stummbling block. Never forget, "Yall aint left me alone Im in a one man zone I learned every position cause yall was playing'em wrong!" HA HA HA HA
Sounds Like: I sound like my Father BIG P and my Grand Pa DIE ( may they both Rest In Peace). My lyrical delivery is like no one other than MYSELF. You might think that I can't rap or even especially sing but just remember that I'm content with being who, I Am!
