About Me

Mike Santini is a young guitar player, born and raised in New Jersey. Immediately drawn to string instruments, he began performing music at the age of 10 playing classical violin in a children's orchestra. He quit the instrument a few years later however, after recieving his first guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, as a free gift from his uncle. He began teaching himself guitar as well as bass, drums and keyboards, and in his teens became the student of Rock and blues guitar legend Karl Cochran. Cochran's demanding teachings proved very influential on Mike's technique and style. After playing in numerous high school bands, when he was 19 he began releasing his own guitar instrumental works. Since then he has started his own hard rock band called Maxout, who just released a full length record in 2008, as well as playing guitar in numerous side-projects and gigging in the club scene with his teacher Karl Cochran around New Jersey. He is currently continuing his music education at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Some songs outside of the studio were recorded with very minimal (a.k.a. shitty) equipment, and as a result you may have to turn your sound up really loud to hear some audio. We apologize.
