Otis Whiterock

Otis Whiterock is a DJ deep with soul (not just because he takes his moniker from the godfather of soul Otis Redding). Imagine for a moment a very young Otis walking through the streets of Plainfield, NJ (P-Funk City) hearing the rumble and bounce of the fresh funk spilling out of the bars at night. This is the town where Bernie Worrell and George Clinton grew up and concocted their sound as "The Parliaments" before taking off to the Motor City and changing music forever. The sounds of these streets would hook Otis and build a foundation for his eclectic style.
Now imagine lucky fourteen-year-old Otis tuning his ears to the House grooves of the early '90s, hanging out in the booth with a DJ his cousin was dating. Armed with the tricks of the trade and an immaculate taste in music, Otis Whiterock took to the decks and was soon sharing the stage with the likes of Robert Armani, Onionz, Justin Martin, Bassnectar, STS9 and the Brazilian Girls. After coming up in the shadow of the New York skyline and having played in NYC and throughout the NorthEast our galactic apache followed the sunset and ended up in Los Angeles, where his funky style is like a blast of fresh air cutting through the smog.
