Watching television as a young’un, Miss Thang has always had it deep in her consciousness that someday, somehow it would be her in the lapping up the attention of being in the spotlight. And it was going to be through music even though back then she didn’t know deep down in her soul she had the talent to sing impressively and write heart-felt lyrics.Growing up and watching more television still and also listening to the radio, music was whispering her name. she couldn’t resist the pull no matter how hard she tried and as fate would have it, she met the C.E.O of Pin Records , The Kingpin who was mesmerized by her mellifluous voice and her song writing prowess. A deal was inevitable.Oluwaseun Ajogbeje was born in the melting pot called Lagos on the 28th of June 1989. She is the 5th of six children with two sisters and three brothers in a household that was always full of rollicking fun and sometimes the inevitable sibling rivalry. She is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Psychology at the Obafemi Awolowo University in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.Though she has been singing from a very tender age, it was at age 11 that she got confirmation that all the tutoring she received from her own school of music - the television, (so nobody should call it the idiot box anymore) - was well worth it. She sang in her church choir like most musicians but only for a while. She listens to a lot of music but the singers that filters through to her deep well of inspiration are Mary J. Blige and Beyonce Knowles. This might be heard in her bouncy and energetic hip-hop beats and a lusciously balmy voice. A perfect combination all packaged in a not-so-large but curvaceous frame. She goes beyond being just another pretty girl who can sing but a well-rounded performer (she also raps, something she picked up from ‘hanging around a lot of rappers’ and she writes her own stuff y’all!)Miss Thang seems to have it all; indubitable skills, the right attitude /swagger and cover page looks, then I am sure nobody would be surprised when she blazes in the spotlight on television and off. That’s where it all started from!
