About Me

"How can it be a large career to tell other people's children about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one's own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone and narrow to be everything to someone? No, a woman's function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute." G.K.Chesterton

..My Baking Personality You're a...Triple Layer CakeFor you, baking is one of the building blocks of life. The sweet aroma of cookies baking. The delicious pleasure of frosting a cake. That first mouthwatering bite. The very thought of anything baking brightens your day. You bake for flavor, for family and friends, for the sheer joy of it. Quick, somebody fire up an oven!

My Interests

I love spending time doing just about anything with my little family. I love cooking, organizing, decorating, teaching, music, taking pictures... I enjoy studying for my classes.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus, Mother Theresa, Bing Crosby, Abraham, William Carey, Moses, Joseph... the list could go on. All these people intrigue me.

Music:

All kinds! Alternative Christian, classical, Sinatra, Crosby, and Louis Armstrong, country,... too many kinds to list in one place.:)

Movies:

I am a sap for romantic movies. You've Got Mail, Sweet Home Alabama. I am a huge fan of oldies but goodies like High Society with Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly. I love Pirates of the Caribbean, too.

Television:

We watch a lot of kids shows because of Josh. His newest favorite is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so it's kinda ours too:). Anything that will make us keep watching week after week or make us laugh are usually winners in our house.

Books:

I mostly do textbook reading for my courses. "Pride and Prejudice" is probably my all time favorite these days, though:).

Heroes:

My husband, my parents and my college mentor, Ginger.

Life Changes

It's funny how life changes. You start out on your own expecting things to go somewhat predictably. After all, things have been mostly predictable for years prior. Then years down the road you realize...

So the somewhat dreaded day has come and gone. Jeremiah is finally 1. No longer can I easily tell people his age in months. (When you say 15 months people get confused... easier to just say "a few mo...
