MySpace Codes This trio was born in Autumn 2005; it is composed by Davide Pannozzo (guitar and vocals), Pippo Matino (bass) and Pietro Iodice (drums). This line-up aims at blending jazz, blues and funk together so as to create a powerful yet refined sound, a black and forward one. The demo cd thye are proposing tries to render the versatility of the tracks and the musicians performance, where the logically-built, jazz-flavoured guitar solos are intermingled with the bass parts which - both harmonically and tonally - fill in the spaces shared with a precise and very elegant drumming. Such a line-up gathers three internationally renown musicians together: it is enough to mention some references to remind about the past experiences collected by the three: 22 year-old Davide Pannozzo, one of the youngest amazingly talented Italian guitarists ever; he could play together with Magic Slim (he said about this young guitarist: Davide is one of the best blues guitarist of the new generation: I think hes great! july 2003), Scott Henderson, during a clinic (these are Hendersons words about him: really a good guitarist!), in july 2001, and Paul Lamb, whose opinion about Davide was: such a great guitarist; in july 2001, he opened for Chicago Beaus bassist, Willie Kent, who collaborated with important artists such as Chicago Beau himself and Muddy Waters. Furthermore, he performed many times together with saxophonist Eric Daniel, etc. Pippo Matino is by now one of the best European and international bass players, as he accounts for a number of important musical collaborations (Billy Cobham,Peter Erskine,Javier Girotto,Stefano di Battista etcand Mike Stern, who appeared on Pippos first lp: Low Tension.). Furthermore, he is an official endorser for Epiphany American amps and Fodera basses. Pietro Iodice accounts for a very successful and important career which was built up with great passion and unquestionable skills; an outstanding drummer in the Italian jazz sector since his debut, Iodice is currently the PMJO (Jazz Orchestra Park) drummer. He has collaborated with many important artists, such as John Patitucci, Joe Calderazzo , Phil Woods, Tony Scott, Aaron Graves, Jim Snaidero, etc. . This is a very skilled trio with an avant-garde attitude and the ability to create a new, PIM-labelled musical universe that is all to be discovered during their live performances.
