About Me

I'm a grad student and a parent now and I'm terrifically grateful that I've finally found my calling in life. I study all the time, and when I'm not doing that, I'm probably with my husband and children. I wish I had more time to be with my friends, but then, they don't seem to have much time either... I guess as we all grow up we're getting too busy to do anything except take care of our families, eh? I'm admittedly brash and outspoken, and speak my mind freely, by choice. I'm looking forward to my new career as an Occupational Therapist when I grow up... that will be in summer of 2009, when my baby girl starts kindergarten. I think my kids are the most beautiful people I've ever seen. My husband is my best friend and the most incredible man I've ever met. I've found a very good way to prevent frequent migraines, so if you are reading this and want to know, contact me and I'll share it with you. Life is not about surviving the storm, it's about learning to dance in the rain. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? using original artwork by Marah Johnson. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Dalai Lama. Buddists facinate me. But I meet people everyday that I'd like to meet, I just go up to strangers and talk to them, and then I've met someone new... and famous people are not necessarily more interesting than other people. Same problems, more money. I suppose I'd still like to meet more of my own children, but raising kids is hard... hard on the mind, the body, the brain. Good for the soul though.

cuties

Damion keeps telling me, all these years, about a peculiar little ice cream treat he calls "cuties."  What are these cuties, I'm wondering. Chocolate wafers surrounding pure white vanilla ice cre...

the love of a good man

So I woke up this morning after struggling to sleep last night through horrific back pain  and multiple baby feedings to find that my wonderful husband had not only let me sleep in (again) and ta...

2005 was not fun

Okay, so we started off the year with Maddie being so sick that we had to cancel her first birthday bash. We sold our house in Sacramento, which we regret to this day, and moved into a miserable apart...

Ethan Avery Snowden

The birth was so very intense and painful. My water broke at 11:45pm and we got to the hospital at 12:30am. Labor had been going very lightly all day Thursday. By 1:30 I was in active labor, by 4:00 i...
