Hello! My name is Sonia. =)
I was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in 1967.
I do not speak Spanish.
I am the baby of 5. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.
My parents have been married since 1955 - more than 50 years.
We are a very close-knit family - we cope with sarcasm.
I have been a member of Fairview Baptist since 1969.
I attended Wesley Heights for K-5 and Clubview for 6th grade.
I then attended to Richards and Haradway – graduating in 1985.
I was in the band – played clarinet.
Make all the jokes you want about ‘bandos’ - it paid for college.
In 1985, I was one of the top three clarinetists in Georgia.
I attended Columbus College aka Columbus State University now.
My major was music education. It took me six years to graduate.
Education was not the route for me so I tried banking.
I began working at Aflac in 1993 and have been here since.
I have a wonderful job, work with great people, the best boss.
I enjoy most sports as a spectator and as a participant.
I love Braves baseball, Georgia Bulldogs, NASCAR’s Kurt Busch.
I also enjoy golf, swimming, fishing, bowling.
I have never been married and I don’t have any kids.
I have a magnificent smooth red dachshund named Leo.
I also have a beautiful black and tan coon hound named Missy.
I have 10 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
I am blessed with an awesome group of friends.
Many I have known for more than 20 years.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer on February 8, 2008.
I am a survivor.
God has placed a wonderful man in my life.
Most days I don’t feel worthy of his love.
One thing I have learned is that nothing good ever comes easy.
I am a very outgoing and friendly person. I don’t meet a stranger.
