Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and visit. I am proud to represent the communities of South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and part of Scarborough for District Seven in the Maine State Senate.Since I was elected to the Senate in 2001, I have made it my goal to make Maine’s business climate better, particularly for our small business community. In 2002, I was appointed Senate Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Business, Research, and Economic Development and I was reappointed to be chair again in 2004 for the 122nd Legislature. Recently, I have been asked to serve as Senate Chair of the Joint Select Committee on Research, Economic Development, and the Innovation Economy -- just formed during this past session.
