Ok. So now I am 33 years old...WOW! I remember when I used to think that was OLD! Now that my boys are 3 and 4, I am finally acquiring a life outside of just being Mommy. I am enjoying the hell out of my life now. I have 2 beautiful children, my husband, family and friends that are irreplaceable. What more can I ask for. I have some friends that I have been friends with for a long time and some new friends that I feel like I've been friends with a long time. I am very lucky. My 3 year old son was diagnosed with mild autism and he receives services for that. He is doing very well and I am very thankful. There are many children that are much more severe. It is still challenging but I always look at the positives: I take NOTHING he does for granted. I made some life long friends through him. He keeps me busy and makes me realize how lucky I am. (as is true for my 4 year old as well!) This experience has opened my eyes to a new career I would love if I ever have the time or money.Being a nurse is great and very rewarding, I just feel a personal connection to getting a degree in education to work with children with special needs as my sons teachers do for him.
