Padma Sari

About Me

Padma Sari is a Balinese gamelan sekaa from Seattle, Washington founded by I Wayan Sinti. For the last three years, Padma Sari has been practicing on the University of Washington campus, where Pak Sinti taught through the University's Ethnomusicology Visiting Artists Progam. While he was here, Sinti bestowed on us the honor of building the prototype of his newly conceived 9-tone gamelan known as Gamelan Siwa-Nada. Padma Sari now plays both old and new repertoire on Gamelan Siwa-Nada, as well as Bali's most ancient form of Gamelan, Gamelan Gambuh. We are currently looking for new members to solidify our presence in the Seattle area. If you want to be involved with our community, drop us a message!
