Drum Drums Drummer Drumming Drum Drums Drummer Drumming
Ive been playing drums forever and have had pleasure being drummer for many varied bands, with a range of drumming styles from classic Rock and Brit Pop to Jazz and funk, soul, disco and goodness knows what else in between.
Previously a member of Epic signed to Revolver records, cut a CD Black Hole Vertigo , did TV. and radio. Played loadsa gigs including at the South by South West Festival which was a hoot! We were a good band with a huge amount of energy in our performance. I was the tub thumper and not the song writer and don't have permission to put tracks on myspace - that's Rock n Roll! To get an idea you should be able to preview the tracks here . Well you could the last time I checked!
Did a few gigs with a band called the Vitals but unfortunately they broke up - a shame cause they had some good tunes.
I'm currently working with three bands:
Main Event: The function band I have worked with since I were a lad - great performers and friends. Main Event have a huge set which covers up to 4 hours of great party tunes and the right musicians too.
Alaska Lyle: Talented Singer/Songwriter who also has gifted players in her band. The tracks above are taken from a rehearsal with invited guests. The PA was dreadful that night and the sound not of the best quality. There's real passion in that performance though and it shows that Alaska and the band can cut it whatever the situation! For a better idea of her work check out her web site or her myspace profile. Don't forget to trun off the player on my site first!
StreetLife: - 70's disco function band. Great fun(k), excellent singers/players and nice people to boot. If you want a high energy party we will make it happen!
It's a privilege to be part of a band, work with gifted musicians and make good music. In that regard ears are more important than chops (no not lamb chops!).
If you have a project, a gig or a recording date and you need a drummer get in touch.
Gig Long & Prosper!
