I am a computer geek by day and a photographer by night. I enjoy the play of light and shadow across a form and can spend hours working with lighting to create the lighting effect I want. I graduated from San Diego City College with an AA Photography degree, graduated from National University with a BA Multimedia Arts degree and am now in-progress of an MFA-Photography degree (online) through the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. My career goals are to open up my own studio and produce works based on Portraiture, Fashion, and Commercial sources.
I am a freelance photographer. So what does that mean? Well if you look at the definition of the words involved freelance: is a person who acts independently without being affiliated with or authorized by an organization and a photographer: is one who practices photography; especially one who makes a business of taking photographs. So there you go I am a photographer that gets to pick and choose the clients and assignments I shoot.
“The use of the term ‘art medium’ is, to say the least, misleading, for it is the artist that creates a work of art not the medium. It is the artist in photography that gives form to content by distillation of ideas, thought, experience, insight, and understanding.†–Edward Steichen
