Bell's Comics & Trading Cards was founded in October of 1993 to provide the Grove City area and surrounding communities in Mercer, Lawrence and Butler counties with a dedicated comic, sportscard and gaming store. Since that time Bell's has moved a few times and expanded and currently is located in a large 3,250 square foot storefront at 25 Pine Grove Plaza, Grove City, PA.
Now Bell's is in the heart of the Grove City business center within sight of Wal-Mart, the largest local grocery store, and shares mall presence with national retail chain stores such as Hallmark, Radio Shack and Dollar Tree. This latest move was precipitated by an increase in business and the desire of store owner Mark Bell to satisfy the demand for more "in-store" gaming and a more diverse product line. To that end Bell's has devoted a large area of the store to accommodating it's core gamers with dedicated table space for Warhammer 40K, Magic the Gathering, Starwars Mini’s, Dungeons & Dragons Mini’s and Warmachine. Of course many other games get represented as well, the frequent Killer Bunnies game breaks out, traditional card and board games can be played and regular Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments are held weekly to provide the younger gaming crowd with a chance to enjoy their hobby and hone their skills.
Bell's core business has become gaming even though "comics and trading cards" get recognized in the name. Fully two-thirds of the retail space is home to various games and game related accessories including full paint lines from Games Workshop and Reaper Miniatures. Counters are stocked with Magic singles, Mage Knight and Heroclix pieces as well as dice, counters and the like. A showcase displays the miniature painting talents of some of the gamers and our website carries the news and upcoming events. For the Warhammer 40K crowd battle lines are drawn on a regular basis. Catalogue order service is always available and, thanks to our sizable volume and regular orders, waiting for special order arrival is brief.
Bell's Comics & Trading Cards offers full line support of Marvel and DC comics as well as hundreds of titles from Image, Dark Horse, and many other publishers available through Diamond Comics Distribution . An ever-growing manga and anime section has blossomed to complement an already diverse stock of products from Marvel Legends and DC Direct toys, boxed games from Mayfair Games, Milton Bradley, Avalon Hill, Eagle Games and Steve Jackson Games. Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons and Dragons line as well as role-playing from White Wolf are well represented to appeal to the RPG fans.
Finally, Bell's has a large centrally located section devoted to sports fans. Football, Hockey, Basketball and Baseball are all represented with products from Upper Deck, Fleer and Topps. Archival and storage supplies are available as well as the latest collector's guides.
