In Manhattan,New York on December 19,1985 Reinaldo "Reydeuce" Santiago was born. He is the second oldest of seven. His mother who was going thru hardships lost a battle to the city to keep him,his brothers and his sisters . Reydeuce then was brought up by a Woman from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He lost contact to all other family for years. They all stood in the Bronx.
Growing up in the "Southside" was an experience like no other. This neighborhood was know for it's drug game. Little by little everybody was either doing drugs or selling it. At fourteen Reydeuce was attending school at J.H.S. 50. He was always getting good grades. His behavior on the other hand was not so great. He had fights daily. By the end of his first year he had been suspended two times failed three classes(due to his behavior), and cursed out half of the school.
During the summer break Reydeuce smoked his first blunt. After a few months he was introduce to the game. He was (at 14) hustling through out his hood. At 15 he was arrested(and the same week his son was born). He would end up doing a two year bid,due to his foster mother not wanted to take him back cause of his bad behavior. He would be release at 17. Three weeks later he was arrested because he violated his terms of release.
8 months later Reydeuce was back on the streets of Brooklyn. At first he wanted to take another route and get a job. He searched for a few weeks. Finding nothing he again was up to no good. He teamed up with an old friend and again, hustled. After a year of good business, one mistake caused him to be charge and convicted for the crime of sell of a controlled substance. A felony and 1 year in Prison.
During that year Reydeuce would hit the yard, go to school, and play ball. He also wrote rhymes during his spare time. He never took it serious. (He was invited to the studio many times by Team Deuce's Burg Brigante but never went.They were good friends since Reydeuce was 13.) After writing a few songs he knew had talent. So he planed his release. Included in the plan was to focus on a new hustle. Music. Hip-Hop. Latin Hip-Hop.
He was 18 years old when Whitebeats recorded him for the first time. A few months later he featured on a mixtape, Bury me a G/The album B4 the album. He became a member of Team Deuce. He was the first member to get a tattoo to show loyalty. Even being around a group that was making so many moves he still got in to beef. On October 3rd of 2005 ,after a fist fight that he won,reydeuce was shot two times from behind a point blank range. He
was never treated for his wounds. Instead he went to a local afterhour bar and partied some more.
At the age of 19 Reydeuce lost a good friend.He was shot and killed. This was a turning point in Reydeuce's life. He knew if he continue to be a street hustler he would end up in prison or killed, So he
returned to the plan that he made before,get paid off of music. He didn't want to leave his son with more then what he gave him,Nothing(Due to his incarceration).
At 21, Reydeuce meet a respected manager Tony G, Founder/CEO of Congana Entertainment.They clicked instantly. After a long talk at Jowell Ortiz's album release party Reydeuce joined Block Royal and Congana Entertainment. A movement like no other.
