A lot has changed since my glory days as a bulldog. When I was almost ready to throw the towel in and forget about ever finding Mr. Right in walked Emil Schenck in to my life. It took me weeks to pronounce his name and months to spell it right but it only took days to know that he was exactly what I had always looked for and always wanted. We met on July 12, 2001 on August 23rd we were engaged and on December 21st we were married. This December, Emil and I will celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. I can't believe how fast time flies. It seems like yesterday I was driving everyone nuts planning our big day. Four years later we're still as happy as we were when we said "I do". It's great to spend my life with my best friend and enjoy it. I long to be right by his side and count down the minutes until he's home from work. Just when I didn't think life could get any better I found out we were expecting our first child. Her name is Emile Christina and she is 21 months old. This little girl has made our lives complete. I never imagined how being a mommy would change every thing so much. Every day is a new day with her around. My heart melts each time those little hands reach up for me and I hear that sweet little voice call out for her Mama. It's amazing! I swear I was born to be Emile's mommy! Early November, Emil and I found out that we are expecting our second little one. My due date is the 1st of July. We are thrilled! I went for my first ultrasound this week and Lord help us we're having TWINS!!! Emil is the youth pastor at our church so we try to dedicate as much of our time to our young people as possible and love every minute of it. We have seen our youth group grow to around 40-50 kids (ages 1-18) and love each one of them as if they were our own. We are named PROJECT 403(the address of our church). We love our job and don't take it lightly. We know the responsibility that we hold in our hands. We have youth service every Thursday at 7:00. We would love for you to come and join us.
I don't have any desire really to meet anyone special. As long as I have Emil and Emile I'm happily content. I do have to admit though, that I have had the pleasure of touching base with long lost friends. It's been great. I have said it several times, but this myspace really is a trip. You never know who you're going to meet up with on here.
I love music and anyone who knows me at all knows that I love to sing. I love all music as long as it's gospel. Some favorites are the Crabb Family, Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, MaryMary, Third Day, Alvin Slaughter...the list could go on and on.
Since Emile came along our movie lists consists of Elmo in Grouchland and Pooh's Heffalump movie. We don't watch too many other movies anymore. If I had to pick some favorites though, it would be The notebook, Ringer, Cinderella Man, How to lose a guy in 10 days and Just like Heaven.
Emil and I are die hard Prison Break and House fans....love them. Any other time every television in our home plays Elmo, Barney or JoJo's Circus. Other favorites: CSI, American Idol(of course...who doesn't watch it), Days and I hate to admit it but I'm hooked on Passions.
Anything with ELMO on the front cover. With a little one running around...who has time to read?
My parents. Anyone with an amazing walk with God is a hero in my book.
