OSMOS by CARL SAGAN QUOTE:
The Cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir us - there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries. The size and age of the Cosmos are beyond ordinary human understanding.Lost somewhere between immensity and eternity is our tiny planetary home. In a cosmic perspective, most human concerns seem insignificant, even petty. And yet our species is young and curious and brave and shows much promise. In the last few millennia we have made the most astonishing and unexpected discoveries about the Cosmos and our place within it, explorations that are exhilarating to consider. They remind us that humans have evolved to wonder, that understanding is a joy, that knowledge is prerequisite to survival. I believe our future depends on how well we know this Cosmos in which we float like a mote of dust in the morning sky.
An extraterrestrial visitor examining the difference among human societies would find those differences trivial compared to the similarities. Our lives, our past and our future are tied to the sun, the moon and the stars…We humans have seen the atoms which constitute all of nature and the forces that sculpted this work…and we, who embody the local eyes and ears and thoughts and feelings of the cosmos, have begun to wonder about our origins…star stuff contemplating the stars, organized collections of ten billion, billion, billion atoms, contemplating the evolution of nature, tracing that long path by which it arrived at consciousness here on the planet earth…Our loyalties are to the species and the to the planet. Our obligation to survive and flourish is owed now just to ourselves but also to that cosmos ancient and vast from which we spring. We are on Species. We are stars stuff harvesting starlight.“Some foolish men declare that a Creator made the world. The doctrine that the world was created is ill-advised, and should be rejected. If God created the world, where was He before creation? . . . How could God have made the world without any raw material?
If you say He made this first, and then the world, you are faced with an endless regression. .
Know that the world is uncreated, as time itself is, without beginning and end. And it is based on the principles.â€
- The Mahapurana (The Great Legend), Jinasena (India, ninth century)“For we are the local embodiment of a Cosmos grown to self-awareness, we have begun to contemplate our origins: star stuff pondering the stars; organized assemblages of ten billion, billion, billion atoms considering the evolution of atoms; tracing the long journey by which, here at least, consciousness arose. Our loyalties are to the species and the planet. We speak for Earth. Our obligation to survive is owed not just to ourselves but also to that Cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring.â€Cosmos by Carl Sagan
Carl Sagan died in December 1996.(The Nature of Knowledge!!!)
What is knowledge? We believe a reality that is truly existent totally independent of our sense perceptions, ideas, and concepts. A reality that is independent, autonomous static, and unique as an entity. But actually we apprehend the world through our sense perception and we understand that through conceptual image or ideas. Not based on a direct and certain knowledge, but on mere image like a pictures. Then I infer how relative things are; one is what we perceive as a real, our innate way of engages and comprehends the world and another is what continually they tell us. But much different is what we find when we search and we understand, that there is not one reality but many as people from different cultures and traditions and believes are. On the same time we live in a world where the world reality represents the interests and opinion of few people. That reality have not base in truth, but is over impose in our minds, is fictional, false, and manipulate from those on power. This current knowledge is a system of obfuscations, propaganda and related ideology, which elites present as "truth", with the aim to maintain social control, and to expand their hold on power. So there is the absurdity of what we call Knowledge as we know and they present it to us. I think that by, science, reasoning and logic true reality can be infer be learn but only our real nature, can be realizes directly by experience, and is in the realm of pure awareness, and it is beyond all conceptual elaboration.------------------------------------------“Whe
n I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it—alwaysâ€.
