Janne Huotari and Esa Eloranta wanted to play the kind of country music that bloomed in the mid seventies. You may call it alt.country, americana, countryrock or singer-songwriter-kind-of-country, but the only thing that matters is the dust and the dirt in the songs.
The guys found other musicians that shared the same love for those brilliant songs by Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Gram Parsons, the most inspiring songwriters from the seventies rebirth of country.
Pretty soon the band got formed in its six-piece-form as it is today. Two acoustic guitars, pedal steel, bass and drums with two voices (female and male) is the main sound of Heartworn.
On their album you can hear more traditional instruments, for example banjo and fiddle, played by the special guest stars Tauri Oksala and Ninni Poijärvi. There..s four songs on the album by Esa Eloranta and nine masterpieces by songwriters like Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams and Hank Williams
