C.O.C.O.

This is where we drop the beat

About Me

C.O.C.O. was started by Olivia Ness (bass, vcls) and Chris Sutton (drms) in a basement as an avenue to to learn their respective instruments. After a few well received house shows in Olympia they where quickly snapped up by K records and recorded a self titled LP. Following it's release they set about several tours, railing their brand of low-fi dance music around the country. "The C.O.C.O. Sound" was recorded shortly after and showcased a more mature sound while still adhering to the strict bass and drums policy as before. For the most recent Ladyfest they backed up legendary soul singer Barbara Lynn in a well received, emotionally charged set that included her stomper "I'm a Good Woman". After a brief hiatus in 2006, C.O.C.O. is preparing to record a new LP that they hopes will represent the new raw, garagey sounds they've been showcasing lately. The record is slated to be released in 2007.
