Rahman was different than most children from the first day of his birth. It was always known that he be his own person. He demonstrated independence and determination at a very young age; which at that time was considered rebellion - today it is known as his drive and creativity.The untimely and unexpected passing of his father further fueled his creativity. At a time when hip-hop was an expression of cultural and social awareness, he began to write rhymes expressing his personal experiences. His early rhymes became an outlet, in which he was able to communicate pain and the frustration of living in a community that reflected the collective consciousness of societal ills that plagued impoverished African-Americans.Shortly after his father..s death, Rahman..s family re-located to Atlanta, Georgia, where he began high school. He continued high school through the 11th grade when he dropped out and acquired his GED. Rahman moved back to the place he had always considered home, Jersey City, New Jersey.Midknight..s style is one that stands apart from what is popular in the music industry today. With his first performance having been at the age of 14, having been born and raised in the North, residing in the South and visiting for extended periods of time on the West Coast, he comes to the industry with a complete perspective. His subjects address an array of issues dealing with everyday life, i.e., being a young man growing up without a father, politics, teenage/single motherhood, HIV and AIDS, street and gang violence to less intense subjects. Listening to MidKnight..s lyrics is like being on a Roller Coaster. They bring you up to your highest point, and then suddenly drop you, only to bring you back to the ultimate climax. His hooks are memorable, and will have an audience chanting them after one verse.While serving time in a Federal Prison, Midknight met his business partner and co-founder of Me and My Manz Entertainment, Raymond R.
