I have started projects known as
MEAT,URINE,COCKROACH,P.O.U.R.,original founding bassist for SINSIN77,and a few others.I play bass and do vocals.
I used to run "SOMA" back in the day , I now play bass and do vocals . .I paint , tattoo ,make miniature stone coffins ( CRATE & COFFIN ) write short stories, comedy, songs, an opera as well as raise orchids. I like old world ideals with an understanding of the reality of today..s world, the slow deterioration of the human race.I constantly struggle for a balance between the two.. I am not really that complex of a person.... most people are simple minded.I guess the best way to describe me is ..........an artist. I work hard and like to play hard but , i usually end up just working hard and that..s just fine with me.Eventually , i hope to pursue my art and only art , but until then...... i..ll probably see you at a local home improvement store !!!bio that my brother did for me :
Jeremy Guffey, or as he is more commonly referred to, JERM, is a 39-year-old painter, musician, all-around artist and San Diego, CA native. His work has been part of the San Diego scene for years, although it is currently only known of by a following that can be described as “underground†in his Southern California hometown. His work is often teeming with a dark, threatening undercurrent and may not be especially appealing to fans of more contemporary culture. Be that as it may, now that his gallery, “THE LUNATIC FRINGE†has become a reality, this long-struggling artist may be on the verge of something bigger.
While his work may be unknown to some, to the artistic underground it is not. He has spent countless man-hours building a support base. JERM spent much of his early career as a punk-rock bass player, singer and lyricist, and although he has had various projects and efforts that never fully gained recognition, if you happen to have been hanging around the San Diego underground for a little while you’ve probably heard the name.
Or these names: P.O.U.R, COCKROACH!, MEAT, URINE, SIN SIN 77 and, currently, OFF WITH YOUR HEAD. Not a welcoming set of titles, but the work contained within is not particularly cordial. In other words, Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here.oh ya ....... f@#k holidays! HALLOWEEN is the only holiday carried over from traditions that is worth the hipe! as far as celebrations........... follow the farmers almanac , for those who dare...follow old world pagan celebrations and you will have more than enough reasons to call in sick to work.think about that for a while , but don..t hurt yourself!
