About Me

Root 80 is a local cover-band that plays some of the best music from the 80s hence the name ROOT 80. But thats not all we do. Our music is rooted in the 80s, but we do play some of the hits from the late 70s and current hits, as well. All the members of Root 80 are products of the 80s. They have grown up listening to the music they play and have a love for this genre and it shows.Root 80 has been together since 2000 when the bass player, Keith Andreotta and guitarist, Joe Appleton decided to form the band with some other members. Through a few member changes, they finalized their roster with drummer, Stuart Joel and keyboardist, Mark Luckasavage and singer, Michelle Musolino. Root 80 has played all over New Jersey, including The Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, Jenkinsons in Point Pleasant, The Cadillac Bar in Hoboken among many others. They have received wonderful press from industry papers such as Steppin Out and The Aquarian where the band is lauded for its "awesome vocal harmony abilities."A night with Root 80 will not only be enjoyable listening, it will bring back some memories of when you were in the 80s with artists such as Journey, Rick Springfield, Bryan Adams, Loverboy and many more. They are sure to keep you dancing all night.
