About Me

We are , we are from white suburbia, a little town called Hopkins. Oblivion is a punk rock/alternative band that has been playing together for a solid 3 years. Mikel (19), Taylor (19) and Jason (18) are all alike in a sense that music always comes first. Music is sacred and is a bond that we all three share deeply. Oblivion has played all over the Minneapolis and Northern Regions of Minnesota but are hoping to soon play elsewhere. Our music consists of a guitar a bass and drums, and all instruments speak equally in this band. With the chaotic sounds of Sonic Youth, concrete rhythym of a Jack Bruce wannabe, and a solid hitting John Bonham drummer (who wants to kill your dad with his drum sticks), Oblivion is a very accessible band. With radio friendly pop songs and complete punk rock rock we can make your emotions swing on a dime. We see the music market as old and stagnant as of now, very similar and over-produced. What happened to emotion? What happened to music with SOUL? It doesn't exist as of now, but Oblivion hopes to change that. Oblivion wants to be popular, no Oblivion needs to be popular. Currently we are playing local shows in Minneapolis, we are looking forward to recording a radio friendly LP very soon and making t-shirts and breath mints with our faces on them. Peace, Brother.
