I keep and breed (occasionally) scorpions and tarantulas. My other passion is my herps--I have a modest collection of snakes and a smattering of this and that. I also have a soft spot for Boston terriers as well. I am involved with the beautiful and radiant Jamie as well, she certainly keeps my interest ;p Otherwise I'm just your average ordinary fellow. I like to play video games, I like to relax when I'm not working, and I always welcome intelligent discussion. I like swimming. I've a smashing collection of table-top RPGs and no one to play them with. Exercise, activity, running about willy-nilly with scissors.
I fight demons. Everyday. With magic.
Other people with similar interests and tastes in herpetoculture. People who are interested in defending against the rising homogeny in our broadcasting. People who believe in responsible-herping. Pretty standard, really... Folk who don't suck. Folk who don't add for number padding. Folk with common interests.

I could use this space for a laundry list of bands and performers that I like and love to listen to... but I'm not gonna. I like the Elliot in the Morning show until 11ish then it's Fox Sports until 5 when I hurry home to catch NPR for the rest of the evening--news, classical, and jazz every weeknight! I am dismayed by both Clear Channel's contribution to homogeny in broadcasting as well as America's apathy to this problem. But I guess the rest of the country would rather park their duff in front of the telly instead.
My favorite movies of all time are Clockwork Orange and Shadow of the Vampire (rent it, you'll be surprised, it isn't a b-movie vampire flick!) My more current favorites are Constantine and Saw. I also liked Requiem for a dream, ravenous, boondock saints, samurai x, trainspotting and hellboy. Big fan of the matrix flicks and most comic book flicks. It's hard to drag me out to the movies and/or to get me to sit still long enough to watch them, ask Jamie. No attention span :D
I find I only update this as Cartoon Network or Discovery Channel/Animal Planet add to their schedules, but lemme give you the gist--Adult f'n swim. That's about it. Venom ER on animal planet, various discovery channel/AP documentaries. I like my snake shows and exotic handlers--Corwin, Stevens, Rourke, and Mark O'Shea. Jamie and myself have a pretty extensive anime library between the two of us (Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin being my most favorite anime) and you can usually wager we catch the new episodes of Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig in English on Saturday nights. I'm also boycotting Richmond's Fox affiliate until they bring back the hour of Simpsons to the 5-8 lineup.
