I'm a working mom. I ride the bus and recycle. I don't consider myself a smoker or a drinker but once every month or two I'm known to do one or both of those things just for a night out....or two.I compost whatever I can and I use my little fenced appartment yard to grow food the best I can. My goal is to improve the soil and master organic gardening enough that eventually I can grow my own produce and have surplus to share with my community. I'm working on some guerrilla gardening in my neighborhood and trying to bring things into my work place that facilitate recycling and food gardening. Any time I can I try to find a way to reuse things that would go in a landfill otherwise. I love dumspter diving. I do not think of it in the terms of one man's trash being one man's treasure. Its more realistic to think one's landfill is another one's home. The less we toss the less we hurt. I still have a long way to go in my progress as a human being in terms of giving more back to the earth than I take but working towards that goal is in the top 5 of most fullfilling choices I have made in my life. The most important person in my life is my son Hansel.Hansel is a dinosaur. He's also a transformer and spiderman. He chases butterflies and plays with kitties. He makes my life blessed and happy. I love Hansel more than I ever thought I could love. It is a love returns and seems to spread into the plants and animals and fill the world with light. Hansel, in many ways, has given me life as well.
This is my husband, Isaiah. I have a couple friends with the honorary title of best friend but Isaiah is really the person I consider to be that person. He's the one who reads in bed with me; the one who rubs my back and cooks for me; he's the one who embarasses me at the grocery store with bad jokes. I love him.As parents, we are a team. We teach Hansel to grow food and care for animals; to be creative and explore the world; to take responsibility for his actions. It is wonderful to share the experience of parenthood and have such a wonderful person by my side.
I usually carry an old book around with me to paint in. I tend to use magical mathematics books written by freemasons, but I use fable books and sex education manuels too. This is an image from one of my books.
When I have time I like to do DIY clothing projects. I sew, paint, and spike my clothing. Painting is my favorite. I love painting skulls all over my pants. When I have time I paint pants for my friends too.
