What you all lacked in the realm of embodying the perfect monster was intelligence, heart, and aggressive inspiration. Maybe had the ingredients you mixed to create yourself included a dash of Snoop Dog’s smooth lyrical delivery, UGK’s unapologetic swag, 2pac’s undying aggressiveness and passion, as well as a scoop of the fearlessness of Outkast….maybe then you could be mentioned in the same sentence as J-Go tha monster.
Even though Justin Goines was born in 1984, J-Go tha monsta wouldn’t make his rounds until Justin reached the 9th grade. In the 9th grade J-Go began learning the fundamentals of constructing his first lyrics. And just as all monsters eventually find out, he began noticing a distinct difference from his peers in the words he wrote and in the voice he spoke. He noticed that his words were just a bit more poignant, a bit more piercing, and a bit more real. J-Go also noticed something in his voice that would continue to express the monster inside ready to be released.
Through J-Go’s journey of self expression he would find many labels that shared their laboratories with him, but only one he would eventually call home. In 2005 J-Go became the first artist of a newly formed label called Rocstarr Entertainment. And now with a new start and after years of grinding, learning, and developing the monster inside J-Go and Justin Goines are now one in the same: Aggressive at times but always honest, real, and inspirational.
