My name Daniel Auber (Daniele in italian). I'm a Concept Designer for films with a Special Effects background.
My favourite collaborations have been with TERRY GILLIAM, DARIO ARGENTO
and the JIM HENSON's CREATURE SHOP (with whom I won an Emmy Award).I have lived in Italy, England, Czech Republic and California, but I belong to the Planet!I started in Bologna and Rome, making a lot of horror and sci-fi movies
(animatronics, prosthetics, props, sculpting, molding, stop-motion, etc.).
I also had a parallel career as a film actor at one point.
It was a lot of fun, and I acted in five films,
but there are so many actors in this world...
So I left it there and moved to London,
where I made more Special Effects for music videos and movies
(Supergrass... Harry Potter...).
A few years ago I decided to stop building monsters and concentrate on design.
So I became a Concept Designer (Brothers Grimm...) and now I draw all day:
creatures, environments, film sequences and storyboards.Soon I will Change my job again... But I'll keep you updated!
