Born on September 10th 1979 in Esposende, Portugal, under the sign of Virgo with a Taurus rising, Sergio started his musical life by playing the electric bass in a Nirvana cover band with his best friends when he was 15. At 17 he joined the Conservatory in Espinho as an upright bass student, which he graduated from in 3 years. During these years, he formed several jazz formations that played throughout portugal for some years. At age 21, he moved to NYC to study jazz bass in the acclaimed New School University, and then to Boston to join Berklee College of Music. His interest in making electronic music arose in 2002, and soon he started studying Music Synthesis at Berklee. There, he had the opportunity to study with Dr. Tom Rhea, Dr. Richard Boulanger and Dr. Jeff Baust. He graduated in 2004 and moved back to Europe to form a techno oriented project called Straightflash, with his friend Tom Six. He's now living in Lisboa, producing, playing live and enjoying life with his wife Emilia and son Iuri.
