Hi! my name is Amanda Adams. I am 22 (November), and a senior. my major is Psychology and i want to be a play therapist. What that is is a special counselor who is trianed to open a child up and help them through play. As we all know, kids learn and comunicate through play. What play therapy does is it makes the child feel comfortable and lets him know that you are there to listen and not to judge, yell or scream. After i get my Bachelor's i will have 2-3 more years to get my master's and possibly have more school to be a registered play therapist.
Another large part of my life is may family. My parents and grandparents on one side live in Saginaw Texas (NOT MICHIGAN), about 20 minutes from the fort worth stock yards. my grandparents from the other side live in Burleson, Texas. i have a 17 year lod brother and a 5 year old sister, J.T. and Sam. My husband to be, Brian lives in Las Cruses, New Mexico but is moving to lubbock. Heaven on earth if you ask him. We've been going out about a year and a half. (two years October 15th)we have been engaged since march of 08 and will marry in august 09. I go to church at Sunrise Church of Christ here in Lubbock, right on the county line. I love it there. It's a small church with like 150 members when we're all there. and pot-luck is AMAZING!
