For seven years, the award-winning band Instinkt have been playing concerts to considerable acclaim, in venues around the world, including lots of large festivals in Europe and Canada.
Instinkt are a powerful live band where feminine power and masculine lyricism meet in a wild cocktail – an energy discharge of heavy grooves, dark mystic drones and wild sweeping string arrangements. They create an endlessly changing soundscape full of surprises, whilst never letting the audience’s feet stay still for long. Instinkt’s music is composed by the members of the group themselves, with their inborn Nordic influences taken as the point of departure.
As Album of the Year, Instinkt cd GRUM received the price in March 2007. Their first cd; HUR, won 4 prices at the same contest in 2002. In January 2006, Instinkt were awarded the European Folk Music Prize for “Best Live Act”, a contest arranged in Malzhaus, Plauen, Germany.
In August 2006, Instinkt joined the project “Danish Roots”, where they were chosen to represent Denmark and Danish music to international audiences around the world.
