ANGELITA JIMENEZ, Brazilian born Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist has strong musical heritage from her musician parents. She has vast experience on the stage, at the age of 8 she was a soloist in a children choir. Later studied the piano and vocal technique and was a self-taught guitarist. Angelita has a pasion for writing her own entire compositions not only in her mother tongue Portuguese, but also in Spanish and English. Whilst at University, created the all girl band "Cumadre Fulo", which toured extensively throughout Brazil. As a solo artist, Angelita stabilished herself on the circuit in the South of Brazil where she lived during 2002, gigging and working with some of top Djs and performed at massive Skol Spirits festival. Her positive feedback from the public in Brazil encouraged Angelita to relocate to the United Kingdom in 2003 where she performed at festivals in Cornwall, such as St. Ives September Festival, Gollowan and performed in aid of The Peace Child Project at the Accorn Theatre, Penzance. Upon relocating to London in 2005 Angelita has a wide variety of venues where she has performed on a regular basis, just to name a few: Morton's Club in Mayfair, The BBC Club, Floridita, The Pigalle Club, Guanabara in Covent Garden, Nineteen Below at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blackfriars. Angelita participated with the first act that opened the 2007 "La Linea - London Latin Music Festival" with Cultura Londres, supporting Ozomatli at the Sheperd's Bush Empire which was a sell out crowd of 3000.
