TCHATCHA is Jorge Alves, producer, dj, creative mind, lover of electronic music. At the tender age of 14 he started playing keyboards and synthesizers in various bands… Later, in ’96 while studying Music and New Technologies, the world of electronic music opened its doors to him and within a short time became the sound in which he turned professional. Since then he’s been involved in many creative musical projects, POLICUSKA having stood out the most (a duo, inspired and influenced by tech funky house, who played at many events alongside the likes of Haldolium, Frogacult, and Dominique Lamb). Now, at 28, it is obvious that music was and is his “calling”. Lately, Tchatcha is completely dedicated to:TURNDTABLE, a duo of dj’s with a refined technique and bold mixes; MIDITANDO, ambient concerts and chill-out sounds; L.O.K.I. (Live Act), a project centered on tech/house/minimal and other influences that go beyond the usual concept of electronic music. They do a truly consistent and entrancing live act, full of surprises. Tchatcha and Freixo know they’re on the right path, having received great feedback from producers and record labels. During these past (more than) 10 years, the dj/ producer has performed at the most emblematic venues, that welcome electronic sounds, in Lisbon and Barreiro, having been resident dj at ESTUDIO 132.
