About Me

Eliel Abecassis was born on April 26, 1977 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He spent his teenage years in Paris where he began playing and writing music. His first band was called "Mishgal Sgulli" and was made up of his school friends. In the end of high school he returned to Israel and continued to master his craft.
His music is a unique blend of loud Rock n’ Roll with a touch of French influence and a dose of ethnic sound that he picked up in his early childhood, growing up with his mother- Raymonde Abecassis- an accomplished and admired Moroccan singer. His songs are mostly in Hebrew, but you’ll occasionally hear some French and Arabic on his new album. He has been performing around the country of Israel for several years, collaborating with many talented musicians and adding ethnic instruments to his live shows.
"Stand Trial" is his first album. It was recorded in Kitcha studios with the legendary technician Uri Barak. It was produced by Ido Lederman, who also plays bass in the band as well as the album, and beautifully captured Eliel’s unique voice and smashing guitar sound. The album also features a very special mother and son collaboration in a song called "To Want".
On this page you will find a taste of his music, some show clips, dates of upcoming shows and don’t forget to check out the pictures...
