About Me

I made my myspace layout using Pimp-My-Profile.com

Get Your Own! | View SlideshowIt all began in 1994 when i found Dr. Dre` s "The Chronic" Album in a Record Store in my home town Ahrensburg, Germany. I didn`t know nothing about Rap Music at all, i was just fascinated by the music, the lyrics and the whole style shown on that masterpiece of Rapmusic. This was the time when the first german rap groups came out with their records, all of them beeing published on small indie lables, cause the major lables were still into pop music and shit. Inspired by records like the Gotting EP of the Absolute Beginners or the Alte Schule sampler, I started writing my own rhymes. It was mostly nonsense, but don`t blame a 14 year old kid for doing that. In these days the german Hip Hop scene was small but nice, everybody knew each other and people did music together, not against each other;-) However, it took me a while until i met the right people. On a party, drunk as shit, i learned to know Benstyles. He was part of the Nostress Crew and we decided to record a track togehter. It worked pretty good, so my man Floriot and me got part of the Nostress Crew. We did something like ten tracks together and in my personal opinion this was the first time i was seriously into rapmusic with beeing focused on aims and all that. It was a ruff time for all of us, everybody had his struggle and after two years all our creativity stagnated at a point and nobody of us knew what exactly happened. We never split up, we just stopped making music together in this specific constellation. This was the time when i met DJ Shock. As i was also DJing a little bit, we decided to do a mixtape together. Holding Shit Down came out in 2001 and it was a straight 60 minutes Rap Mixtape. The second one was called Next Level Shit and we did a lot more tapes togehter, so if you`re intrested in `em, holla at my man DJ Shock. Through Shock i got in touch with Jambeatz. Jam was just building up his studio and i asked him for a beat. There was a strong creative vibe and in this time we recorded many tracks togehter - and don`t even know how much it was exactly. We released the Exclusive Promo featuring Gadget, COL, Floriot, DJ Sock, me and many others. It was 4 free, which doesn`t mean, it sounds like that! In my opinion it was a unique record, cause of the different artists featured on that record. It wasn`t mainstream and wasn`t underground, it was the thin line between code of the streets and commercial rapmusic. The equipment became better, the style more versatile and most of all, everyone of us got older. I started listening to Reggea and Dancehall, became interested in Soul and Funk and began to see that whole Rapscene from a more distant point of view. Since 2004 i am recording my Solo LP and it will feature allmost everybody from back in the days until now. Be patient, i jus` do it like Dre, every ten years an album.
