Hello All!As a little boy, when I was around 8 years old, I fell in love with breakdancing. I tried some breakdance moves but I soon figured out that dancing was not something that I should continue doing. Instead I started taking drumming lessons and my musical life started and continued right to where I am now.Recently I found out that I like to make music to dance to. I’m working on a few tracks of dance music wich I call ‘Partyscratch’ music. This is because it’s music to party to, but with heavy and hard scratching in it.I found it quite ironic to see that when Dj’s scratch, it is more likely to make people stop dancing than that it invites people to dance, while back in the early 80’s when scratching had just been invented, people were dancing to it.So for making these tracks I put a lot of inspiration from old school electro scratch breaks, like ‘Techno Scratch’ by the Knights of the Turntables, and ‘Scratch Dance’ by Victor & The Glove (Pyramid Mix). Of course the rest of the inspiration I get from all the great artists, dj’s and musicians surrounding me every day here in Utrecht, and of course the internet.These tracks are work-in-progress, but don’t hestitate to let me know what you think of them!
