About Me

Here now, I bid you hear the sweet, sweeping sway of melodies caressing your ear. Refined music has a melody, and to a melody a rhythm is prescribed, and to that rhythm and to that melody, one is uncontrollably enticed to dance. Swipe Inc would have you dance to their energetic tunes. A combination, or rather a melding, of smooth vocals, flighty instrumentation, hustling rhythmic designs and bounding lyrical swagger that leads the listener to another place……..
Swipe Inc - Wayward Man (Live at The Globe)
..
Swipe Inc is the appellation of the ideas of two young gentlemen and their counterparts, and under this name music has been molded. You could describe it as dance… or indie… or punk, or electro, or rock, or anything you like. However, the only one way that truly represents the sounds that this gang of four produces is yet to suffer the conformity of classification.
In its most basic form dancing is as simple as finding a rhythm. For Swipe Inc this rhythm has been chosen and derived from cutting rhythm, sharp lead breaks, smooth synths and a pulsing drum and bass chamber.
For Swipe Inc dance is movement used as a form of energetic expression of life in all its glory. “On the Eve of the Siege, the Battle got Beat, Sire” is the band’s debut EP which encapsulates this ethos. I dare say, should you want good music, a good time and a good dance, it would be in your best interest to obtain a copy of this slice of creativity. Or better yet come and join the throngs dancing to the music that is Swipe Inc.
‘‘I think with this genre of music, the skill is in the subtlety to take you somewhere else. Swipe Inc will have little trouble slipping snuggly into your indie music collection.’’
