As a band we've been playing together since mid 2003. Ed joined the band in February 2005.
Rebecca's one of those freaky people who's been playing since she was 4 and writing songs since she was 11. She moved away from the midwest to attend the even freakier, but totally fun CalArts. She's stayed in California since then, working as a music teacher, singer and audio editor. Rebecca recorded her first record with CalArts buddies, and in the process met the ever-amazing James Bennett.James plays bass in the band and is a wonderfully picky audio engineer who grew up on real (as opposed to new) punk rock and other wonderfully honest rock. Who knew he'd want to work with some singer/songwriter chick? But the combination works, what can we say.
Then there's Travis, our guitarist/public defender. Apparently, so he says, he was raised by spider monkeys. We tend to believe him. We didn't know spider monkeys played the blues so nice, but they certainly did him well. Travis is just one of those cool guys who does all he can to make great sounds for us and do his own projects.
Let me tell you a bit about Ed next. he's darn funny and a helluva drummer from Texas. He fits in real nice, and is a total chick magnet. And, he has a thing for hot dogs, taunting the vegetarians in the band.
So that's essentially it. We're playing in Los Angeles, and we're so very interested in playing with other bands that are making great music with a similar sound, so let us know if you'd like to schedule a show together! And if you've visited us here on myspace and like what you hear, check back for show dates and come, hang out, and listen to our ever-evolving music thing!
