I wish that people knew more about me than they think they do.
I wish that I grew up in the 60s or 70s, or that the 90s never ended.
I wish that everyone had a chance to really meet a goat.
I wish that people didn't say, do, or think things that they don't mean.
I wish that parsley was an ingredient in every meal.
I wish that if I give my heart to someone, they never give it back
I wish that the world would pull its head out of its ginormous ass and realize all living organisms depend on eachother in order to balance a delicate ecosystem, which has been destroyed beyond recognition.

I consider it to be the most gratifying of opportunities to have the chance to develop and nurture the relationship between humans and animals. My family raised me to be aware of the plight of others and to give of yourself in order to improve the community in which you are a part of. To me, my idea of a community has always been focused on the relationship between animal wildlife and humans.
My summers, winters and school semesters spent volunteering at an exotic animal sanctuary called Valley of the Kings in Sharon, Wisconsin (VOTK.org), have given me the most fulfilling of experiences in animal care as well as directed my future goals of making this my profession. This is where I learned about dedication, about friendship, and about love without an hidden agenda. Through my efforts to improve the lives of the animals there, I realized that there is an entire world, a global community, to which my efforts are required in maintaining a diversity of life.
I hope to follow a career path that is focused on the relationships between animals and humans in natural and captive environments. The more we are able to understand about animals and their lifestyles, the more we can educate the public on ways to facilitate co-habitation and raise awareness as to the dangerous population declines which so many species are experiencing.
I still believe in giving of myself to improve the diversity of a conflicted community. I am eager to dedicate myself to a solution and to being an integral part of the zoological society where I can be of use.
